I have some Heather Ross prints that BD#1 gave me last summer from her shop. Aren't they cute! This line was from Hancock Fabrics, and is called Crafty Chloe. I think this is a complete collection of the prints, but if not this is a complete collection of what I have. The selection is 5 FQ or 1-1/4 yards of fabric. These prints are perfect for fussy cutting!
I recently made a 1 Hour Fat Quarter Tote for a swap with the sock monkeys. I think it turned out pretty cute. Kinda quirky, but fun! This is enough fabric to make one for yourself, if you so desire.
And I'll be updating the 1 Hour FQ Tote on Leona's blog in the not-too-distant-future, so be sure to come back for a peek. I think she's planning a giveaway of her own soon, so you might want to check in sometimes... just sayin'...
So how do you win these adorable prints? Well, here's the scoop.
1. Leave a comment below and tell me what makes a great tote bag. Inquiring minds want to know. What does a tote bag need to be "perfect"?
2. Be (or become) a follower of my blog and leave a comment to tell me so (2nd entry).
3. LIKE my Facebook page, and then leave a comment on the blog to let me know you did. If you already LIKE my page, you can just LIKE the post to count for the giveaway. =) (NOTE: Comments on the Facebook page are wonderful - and welcome - but won't count in the giveaway. But you would make my day!) (Possible 3rd entry.)
4. Post on your blog about this giveaway, then come back and leave a comment letting me know. (Possible 4th entry.)
5. Mention this giveaway on Instagram, Google +, or other social media, and then come back and leave a comment. (Possible 5th entry.)
So you have 5 possible entries to win the fun HR FQ bundle. BE SURE YOU ARE NOT A NO-REPLY BLOGGER. The winner of my last giveaway was a no-reply blogger and I had no way to contact her so I had to choose another winner. Too bad for her. =(
The giveaway will close next Saturday, February 23 at midnight. I will let Mr. Random choose the winner sometime Sunday.
Good luck!
Those fabrics are so cute. Thank you for the giveaway.

ReplyDeleteA perfect tote needs to have a handle long enough to throw over my shoulder, a light colored lining so I can find everything I am looking for, and be sturdy.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am a follower, thanks for the chance to win :)
ReplyDelete1. What I like for a tote bag is strong handles and maybe a snap or button at the top. I really don't need pockets. Love the fabric.
ReplyDelete2. I am a follower of your blog.
ReplyDelete3. I "LIKED" you on facebook.
ReplyDelete5. I had to skip number 4. I tried to blog but I couldn't get it set up like I wanted and was getting confused. LOL. I shared your giveaway on FB. I see you will pick winner on Feb 23, that is my 64th b'day. What a great birthday gift that would be. LOL
ReplyDeleteI think a tote bag is perfect when it's strong and sturdy with a pocket for my keys. That makes them ideal for grocery shopping bags!

ReplyDeleteA great tote has to have numerous pockets. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteA tote should have great straps - not too thick and not too think and should be able to hang on your shoulder well. Great giveaway!! The cutest fabric ever.
ReplyDeleteYay I am a happy follower! Thanks for the chance to win HEATHER ROSS!!!
ReplyDeleteHave liked you facebook page. Looks fab!! You are having a brilliant giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute fabric! Pockets are what make a tote for me! I have so many tote bags with no pockets, and all the small stuff just ends up hiding in the bottom. Super frustrating! :)

The big thing for me with bags/totes are the straps. They need to be long enough to go over your shoulder but not too long.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute fabric bundle! We love the children's picture book that the fabric matches! I like totes to have a pocket or two and the straps need to be a good length for me. :)
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog!
ReplyDeletewonderful fabric! - the perfect tote should definitely have interior pockets, possibly with a zipper. Feet if possible. AND: a key chain (since I spend hours looking for my keys....).
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog now.
ReplyDeleteA good tote bag must have enough room for everything I want to carry that day. Of course that changes daily so you need a lot of tote bags! Also, a couple pockets inside and/or out are good.

ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through your daughter!! So, I'm a new follower and very excited to look around!
ReplyDeleteFor me, tote bags are all about structure - I recently finished a pieced one which I straight-line quilted with batting and a light canvas as the bottom layer. It really gave the tote a good shape and substance!
ReplyDeleteA good tote should have a zipper/closure and inside compartments. Structure is nice too, but it really depends on the purpose for the bag. The most important thing is that you like what you make (and are proud of it!) and you find it useful.

ReplyDeleteSuper cute and fun fabric! I think the perfect tote would have a sturdy bottom, pockets on the inside, pockets on the outside, adjustable strap and big enough to hold what's needed but can still fit under the seat on the plane. Did I forget anything? hehe.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a great giveaway and a chance to win.

ReplyDeleteIMHO, a great tote needs pockets! I also like a flat bottom so that it can stand on its own.
A great tote needs pockets so important stuff doesn't just fall to the bottom
ReplyDeleteI am a ollower

ReplyDeleteThe tote has to be lined, can be reversable. And if it has a zipped pocket even better.
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway - Thank you! Especially if you have little girls in your life. I am so glad I found your blog, and you. See you soon.
ReplyDeleteI just started following your blog :) I look forward to seeing your creations!
ReplyDeleteI love a messager strap on a tote. (adjustable)
ReplyDeleteI started reading your blog just recently and enjoy it. I've also just started making totes nd bags and think inside pockets and fusible batting are key. The fabric in the giveaway is so cute. Thanks
ReplyDeleteInside pockets that are a bit over-sized for the suggested item, ie: cell phone, ipad, etc.. Thanks for the chance to win this fab bundle of fabric.

ReplyDeleteI don't like the sides my tote bag to be floppy, so it has to have adequate interfacing. Thanks! kcannon@anwsu.org

A good tote bag is one that does not really look like a tote bag! Something that looks more like a purse but functions like a tote bag would be ideal.
ReplyDeleteI'm already a follower on my reader.
ReplyDeleteA good tote at has a few pockets inside that have closures (like with Velcro)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity!

ReplyDeletelots of different size pockets and a built in key ring to clip your keys to so they don't fall to the bottom and get lost among the abbes of junk that is always carried around

ReplyDeleteLong enough straps - very important for a good tote bag!
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog
ReplyDeletePerfect shape that can stand up easily and not fall over. I don't mind leaning it against something, but a flat bottom is a must.
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower of you.
ReplyDeleteA good tote should:
ReplyDelete1. Stay on your shoulder - not be so shorthandled that it falls off
2. Have a few pockets - some on the inside and one on the outside for a water bottle.
3. Flat bottom so it stands up

ReplyDeleteI think a bag with lots of pockets is the key - I always seem to lose the little things in my bags! Additionally, the straps need to be large enough to go over my shoulder - I don't need my hands full of bag handles.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower.
ReplyDeleteFor me, having a solid use for the bag makes it perfect. (Plus cute fabric)

ReplyDeleteI love tote bags with long handles and plenty of pockets!
ReplyDeleteLong handles, great fabrics and lovely little details:)

ReplyDeleteThe perfect tote would have the perfect length for me. I am short with short legs, so many totes drag on the ground if I carry them by the handles in my hand.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower. Hancock Fabrics had/has Heather Ross???? Do you know when that was or if they still do?
ReplyDeleteI now Like your Facebook page. Thank you for being so generous!
ReplyDeleteinside pockets.. great handle length and be able to stand.. instead of toppling everytime you set it down.

ReplyDeleteI love these prints, I've never seen the one with the lady at her sewing machine!
ReplyDeleteFor me, a great tote depends on the straps. They need to be just the right length, but not too long that the tote hits my hips at an awkward spot!
I'm a follower too, have been for a while now :)
