This is Abby in her favorite doggy shirt, saying "hi" with both hands! |
Last year, on April 1, I created my blog and my first blog post. It was exactly 2 sentences long. It was succinct. It was cynical. It was necessary.
I had to be able to comment on my grandbaby's photos. (THAT is what I call necessary.)
It took me another 5 weeks to create a second post.
And the next one was 3 months after that.
And here we are 94 posts later.
In a well-ordered world, my blogiversary would have occurred on my 100th post. That just didn't happen.
In a well-ordered world, I would have had something special planned for my blogiversary, and have had a big build-up leading to the big reveal.
I do not live in a well-ordered world.
However, I do have something special planned. Every Friday in my blogiversary month, starting next week, I will have a giveaway. I have some charm squares put aside for just this purpose. There will even be a special giveaway on my 100th post - whenever that is.
So what do you have to do to win? I think each week will be different, but for April 8...
1. Leave a comment on this post and tell me what you like about blogging and/or reading other people's blogs. Or, alternatively, you could tell me why you don't blog or don't like blogging.
2. For a second chance to win, become a follower of my blog, and comment to tell me so.
3. For a third chance, browse through my little blog and leave a comment telling me something you found that you liked - either something I've created or something I've blogged about. You have 93 possibilities. (Hopefully there is something here to enjoy - I hope!)
That's it. This giveaway closes next Thursday, April 7 at midnight. The winner will be announced before midnight on Friday, April 8. I will post the winner on the blog, and I will try to email you if I can find your email address.
And a new giveaway will start next Friday and end the Thursday after that, and so on, all month long.
Oh yeah, what is this week's charm pack? Central Park, by Kate Spain. I've used it a lot lately, and I love it. The fabric is polished and smooth and delightful and has such a lovely hand, and the colors and designs in the fabric are so refreshing!
No, sorry. Not the quilt. I've already given that away. But isn't the fabric wonderful? |
Good luck! And thanks for reading this little blog.
I love seeing what other people are working on and to read their words about the projects. I spend most of my time with my kids so spending time reading blogs is a time out for me that I enjoy.

ReplyDeleteI'd say I love blogging because it makes it easy to share what is going on in our little neck of the world with my family and friends and the bonus part of the whole thing was making so many new online friends and actually meeting some of them!:)
Happy Blogaversary and what an awesome giveaway! I love blogs because I feel like I'm getting a peek into someone else's home and life and seeing how other people live. Sometimes when I come upon a post that mirrors my emotions I feel like I have a kindred spirit out in this big, wide world and I'm not alone in my feelings.

ReplyDeleteI liked your Weekend Blogger post that is totally me as well. I usually post on Monday's because with work, my daughter, and traveling an hour each way to and from work I don't have time to sew during the week. PS - I really like your Central Park Whirly Wheels Quilt too.
