MIAGIA Progress

Don't forget to enter my last Blogiversary giveaway here.  Ends Thursday at midnight Central time!

I just wanted to do a brief post and let everyone know that I have not fallen off the planet.  Monday night was quilt guild and we had a jumble sale.  I took a few items that I had been given and decided I wouldn't ever use.  I didn't sell many, but made a donation of them to the grab bags for the 2012 quilt show.  Maybe someone else can use them  Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn't working and by the time I got home, I was too ill to do anything productive.

But I did get the MIAGIA quilts sandwiched. They say these charity quilts are a good way to practice techniques, so I plan to practice my FMQ on them.  I am still struggling with FMQ techniques, although my machine and I seem to have reached an accommodation - at least most of the time.  I've decided the machine has a faulty design:  the darning foot is not screwed on and comes off the presser foot at the durndest times.  But, I think I am getting better.  This should give me a chance to try a couple of new things.

I'll let you know how it goes!

  2. OK- I deleted the email, BUT I do have in hand 2 yards and 13 inches of that Green Alexander Henry Farmdale (it's all they had left) It's the one I used in the Hands-2-Help Charity Quilt Challenge. I traded my husband driving duties and was able to swing by and get it. If you still want it let me know.
